NASA Lunar Laser Communications Demonstration (LLCD) Public Outreach Materials

The year 2013 marked a turning point for NASAs space communication capabilities when they demonstrated that two-way optical communications was possible, to transport data from the earth to the moon and back in 2 seconds or less. As a part of the Education and Public Outreach team for the Lunar Laser Communication Demonstraion (LLCD) I was given the opportunity to develop content and graphics to tell the demonstration to the public. We create a trailer video to introduce the concept behind the push for optical communications, followed by a series of print materials to support launch activities and educational curriculum development.
